Pretty Little Accent Nails

Pretty Little Liars is back for season 3 on Tuesday I was bored and decided to make some nail art for the premiere that is what I came up with. I was inspired by this picture below:

This was my first time actually putting words on my nails and as you can see I did a pretty terrible job haha but I tried.  I used China Glaze's For Audrey for the base then sponged Sinful Colours Black on Black for the cloud look.  I used China Glaze's Hang-Ten Toes for the pinky which was inspired by Alison and of course I had to put the signature
-A mark

I can't wait to see some of the awesome manicures they always have on Pretty Little Liars.

I went to the states and found a coral nail polish that I actually liked its Sally Hansen's Coral Reef I also found Essie's Set In Stones while I was down there. My camera had a hard time trying to focus because Set in Stones was so sparkly.

Lastly I have China Glaze's First Mate with Essie's Shine of Times on top I'm not sure how I feel of this combo yet.

Tribal & The Beauty Department

I have discovered The Beauty Department website and I love their nail art tutorials so I decided to try some out for myself.

First one I tried was their "The Bow Mani" I used China Glaze's For Audrey as the base and I painted the tips of my nails with Sally Hansen's White Out and I used my Black Kiss nail striper for the bow.

The second one I did was "Nautical Nails" I originally used blue for the stripes but they did not turn out well at all haha so I used my black and white Kiss nail art striper for the stripes and used a toothpick for the red heart.

I love doing tribal nails and I did this mani a long time ago I was mainly trying out different colours and I think I like this one better than the one I did originally.  I used my Kiss white and black nail art stripers (of course haha) and the blue is China Glaze's Frostbite.

This is my first yellow nail polish and after seeing Nailside's Black and White Tribal design I had to try it with Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow.

On a side note some of my nail art made Pinterest and my mom who is hooked on Pinterest is freaking out and telling everyone, haha gotta love moms.

Easter, Broken Nails and Gradient

For Easter I decided to do something simple seeing as how I had to work the day before.  I brought out my two favourite pastel colours.  I used China Glaze's Re-freshmint with China Glaze's Sweet Hook.  I then used one of Kiss' nail stripers for the silver triangle.  No tape was needed for this :)

I've been loving the gradient nails lately I used China Glaze's For Audrey for the lightest blue followed by OPI's Fly and then Sally Hansens Blue It and finally I used Essie's Mesmerize. The zebra stripes were Konad's m57 plate.

While I was at work my nail broke while opening a box it managed to stay on for a day and a half and when I finally bought nail glue it came off.  However I did find this awesome way to repair your nail even though I never got to try it :P  Check it out: http://musicalhouses.blogspot.ca/2010/07/how-to-fix-broken-nail-with-diy-tea-bag.html

Working all weekend is never fun but at least my nails were. You can also see that my nails grow really fast because this was two days after my broken nail came off. For the colours I used Sally Hansens Sunkissed with FingerPaints Expressionist Red.

Starfish

I booked my trip to Hawaii for September and seeing how it's a long way away I decided to paint some starfish on my nails.  I used China Glaze's For Audrey then I used Peachy Keen as the starfish with white dots on.

September can't come soon enough!

Konad, Gradient and Belated St. Pattys

Finally got my hands on the m57 plate from konad now I don't feel so bad when my nails get ruined at work haha.  I used China Glaze's Peachy Keen with Sally Hansens White On.

Next up was technically my Valentines Day nails I'm only like a month and a half late.  I used China Glaze's Something sweet as a base then added OPI's You're A Pisa Work with a random red polish I had and I put OPI's Black Shatter on top.

Now here is my late St. Patricks Day nail art. I used China Glaze's Four Leaf Clover as the base then painted a four leaf clover with a brush over Sally Hansen's Black Out.  Four Leaf Clover is impossible to photograph no matter what you do it will always look different.

I really need to start posting these pictures on time more often haha. :)

Merry Christmas

I always try to post more but it seems to never happen. Anyway here is my Halloween nail art yes thats right Halloween it's been that long. On my left hand I did a bunch of mummies and on my right I did blood splatter becuase there was no way I would be able to do mummies on my right hand.

This month I was extremely busy with work and cheerleading ending I saw this nail art below and tried it out myself lets just say mine doesn't even compare to the real one.

I am not happy with my snowflakes but they will have to do for now haha. I used China Glaze's For Audrey with Sally Hansens White on White.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

It's Been A While

It's been a while since I last posted and I have accumulated quite a bit of nail polish since I last posted.  Now onto the Nail Art I have done recently.  First up black & white stripes with a red accent nail.

For this manicure I used Sally Hansens White On and Black Out for the stripes and FingerPaints Expressionist Red as the accent nail.  The stripes look way better in the picture than they did on my nails.

This is Sally Hansens Pumpkin Spice over Sally Hansens Black Out.  Pumpkin Spice is a sheer blackish brown polish with orange glitter. In my opinion it looks way better with a black polish underneath than it does without.  This was also my very first Halloween polish which is sad because I love Halloween.

Clearly I was hooked after I bought my first Halloween polish because I picked up this bad boy. I went everywhere looking for this set and finally found it at Chatters.  Zom-body to Love is a sheer glow in the dark polish.  I used Sallys Hansen White On as a base and then added 3 coats of Zom-Body to Love. I must say I didn't think that it would work that well but boy was I wrong.

This would be my lovely blurry picture in a semi dark area, I promise I will get a better picture of  it.

And lastly here is my most recent manicure. I was so eager to try the gradient trend I used Sally Hansen Sun Kissed as the base then added Revlons Pretty in Papaya then I used FingerPaints Expressionist Red with OPI's Black Shatter on top.
